DHAKA: The first budget session of the new government would be started on June 3, said parliament sources.
Already files were sent to the President’s office from parliament secretary after fixing possible dates to convene the budget session.
President Abdul Hamid may convene the session anytime on Thursday.
Earlier, the first session of tenth parliament election started on January 29 and ended on April 10.
As per the constitution, the President has to convene a parliament session within 60 days of the previous parliament session.
Parliament Secretariat sources said that the preparation of budget session has taken already. Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith on June 5 will produce the national budget proposal for fiscal year 2014-15 which is scheduled to pass on June 30.
National Parliament Chief ASM Firoz confirmed the matter to banglanews on Tuesday afternoon.
