DHAKA: A minor drowned into a water tank in city’s Pallabi area on early Sunday.

The deceased was identified as M Ratan, 4, son of Helal Uddin and resident of the area.

Police sources said that Ratan went missing from Saturday evening. Despite a frantic search, family members failed to find him. Finally, his body was found floating in the water tank of a construction building adjacent to their house around 1:00am.

Later, on information, police recovered his body and sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Sub-Inspector of Pallabi Thana Shahin Uddin confirmed the matter to banglanews.
