BOGRA: A court here Wednesday sent the arrested organizing chief of the banned Islamist outfit JMB, Anwar Alam Khoka alias Bhagne Shahid alias Nazmul, on five days’ remand for police interrogation over their mission.

Chief Judicial Magistrate court’s Judge Hasanuzzaman granted the remand after hearing police prayer.

Earlier, Anwar Alam was produced before the court by Inspector of DB police of Bogra Abdur Rashid Sarkar amid tight security and sought on seven-day remand. The court, after hearing, granted five days.

He was taken to the district DB police office. Abdur Rashid Sarkar said five others arrested from Gobindaganj were handed over to Gobindaganj police.
