DHAMRAI (DHAKA): Three people including a female worker were killed and 30 others injured as a staff bus plunged into a roadside ditch in Dautia area under Dhamrai upazila at the outskirt of the capital on Tuesday morning.

One of the deceased was identified as Jahanara, 26, resident of Joypur of the upazila. The identity of the others could not be known immediately.

Local sources said that a rashly driven staff bus of Pratik ceramic plunged into a roadside ditch as its driver lost his control over the steering in the area around 6:45am, leaving Jahanara and two others dead on the spot and 30 others injured critically.

The injured were rushed to local clinics.

Sub-Inspector of Dhamrai Thana Jalil confirmed the matter to banglanews.
