MEHERPUR: A man was killed and his 10-month old son Tanveer was injured critically as they fell from roof of their house in Bamundi area under Gangni upazila of the district on Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Ahsan Habib Bakul, 35, son of Abdul Bari and resident of the area.

Local sources said that Ahsan Habib along with his son Tanveer was walking on their roof. Suddenly they fell from the top of their house, leaving Ahsan Habib dead on the spot and his son injured critically.

The child was rushed to Kushtia Medical College and Hospital in a critical situation.

Sub-Inspector of Bamundi Police outpost Samsul Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews.
