DHAKA: A woman was killed in a road accident in city’s Gendaria-Dhupkhola area o Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Khorsheda Begum, 56, resident of the area.

Locals said that a rashly driven passenger bus rammed the woman in the area around 10:00am, while she was going to hospital for treatment, leaving her injured critically.

However, she was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where on duty doctors declared her dead.

In-Charge of DMCH Police outpost Mojammel Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
