Dhaka: A Bangladesh Rifles junior officer died on Wednesday morning after a fatal fall in a bathroom of the BDR Headquarters at Pilkhana in the city, police said.

The deceased was Naik Hiron Mia, 57, hailed from Sonapur village in Sadar thana of Feni district.

New Market thana Duty Officer SI Anis told banglanews24.com.bd that they brought the body of Hiron Mia from BDR Hospital at Pilkhana. “After completing deposition report we sent the body to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue,” he said.

The public relations section of the border force did not hear the news till the time when the report was written.

A case was filed with New Market thana in connection with the death.
