DHAKA: A Dhaka court  awarded lifetime imprisonment to all seven accused for killing Alamgir Hossain Mister in South Keraniganj of the district.

Dhaka-4 Speedy Trial Tribunal judge ABM Nizamul Huq on Wednesday gave the verdict.

The convicts are Jahangir, Maidul, Masud Rana, Salahuddin, Jasim Uddin, Soleman-1, and Soleman-2.

Among them, Soleman-2 remained fugitive and rests but one were in bail and appeared before the court, said court sources.

Later, the court sent them to jail after passing their punishment order.

SM Rafiqul Islam Roy, special PP of court concerned, confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Prior the verdict, depositions from 17 charge-sheet enlisted witnesses out of 18 had been recorded.  

As per case statement, miscreants attacked Mister at Vower Viti of in South Keraniganj of the district over previous dispute on November 13 in 2010, leaving him injured critically.

Later on November 17, he succumbed to his injuries at United Hospital.
