DHAKA: The flights of new US-Bangla Airlines Limited are likely to fly in the domestic sky by the end of month of June with attractive fares for and some of its best service to the air travellers, said sources concerned.
“The air fare will be relatively lower than that of other airlines operators” and we want to make passengers satisfy with some of our best services,” Shafiqul Islam, assistant general manager (AGM) of US-Bangla Airlines, told banglanews.
Airlines sources said, “At the initial stage, it will introduce its flight on Dhaka-Chittagong, Dhaka-Jessore, Dhaka-Sylhet, and Dhaka-Cox’s Bazar routes.
At the beginning, five flights will be run on Dhaka-Chittagong route, 2 flights on Dhaka-Jessore routes and one each on Dhaka-Sylhet and Dhaka-Cox’s Bazar routes.
Later, the airlines will spared out its business on other domestic routes gradually, added the sources.
The airlines authorities have not fixed the air fare yet that would be settled soon.
A marketing official of the airlines told banglanews, “Whatever the fare is it will be less than the other airlines.”
The airlines, a sister concern of US-Bangla Group, has already bought two Dash 8 Q-400 airplane. Of those, the first one will land on Dhaka from Netherlands on Friday and the second will be included soon.
A third one will be added to its fleet within next six months.
For the first time in the country, the US-Bangla has brought a 76-seat dash airplane, which has six business class seats. The jet, bought by the airlines, has two doors and more cargo space.
Country’s other airline operators have used the Dash 8300 old model airplane, which has 49 seats, five blades, six Q-400s. The jet, having more blades, can fly more higher than others.
Considering the passengers’ privileges, the airline will run a service of 42 modern buses from Khulna to Jessore Airport.
Bus services will also be run from GEC intersection and Agrabad of Chittagong to Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong.
The airlines vowed to make a positive change through beginning the business in the booming aviation industry of the country.
“In fact, we want to bring some positive changes in the aviation business through the US-Bangla,” said AGM Shafiqul.
