DHAKA: Indian Prime Minister designate Narendra Modi's life is going to change in more ways than one. His residence will now be the coveted 7, Race Course Road in the heart of New Delhi, and his office will be situated at South Block near Raisina Hills.

There is going to be another major change, and that will be his salary hike.

The Prime Minister of India will be drawing a monthly salary of Rs. 1.6 lakh. His basic salary will be Rs 50,000, with a sumptuary allowance of Rs. 3,000, a daily allowance of Rs. 62,000, and an MP allowance of Rs. 45,000.

In addition, he will also receive perks like personal staff, special jet, government residence, and much more. The salary details of the Prime Minister were revealed after 2013 as an answer to an RTI query.
