SIRAJGANJ: Rail communications of northern region restored with the capital city Dhaka after it halted for two-and-half hour on Thursday.

Earlier, the engine of Rajshahi-bound Dhumketu Express train went out of operation at Ullapara of the district around 2:45pm.

Sub-Inspector of GR Thana Hydar Ali said, “The engine went of operation after it knocked a three wheeler in the area.”

No one was reportedly hurt in the accident.

Later, a rescue train from Pakshi of Pabna district rushed to the spot and restored the communication around 5:20pm, he added.
