KHULNA: Miscreants hacked to death an owner of shrimp enclosure, locally known as ‘gher’, at Ruhiar bil in Fultala of the district on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Hasan Bishwash, hailed from Dawgona village of Jamira Union of the upazila. 

Fultala thana Officer-In-Charge Ilyas Fakir told banglanews, “Hasan went to his ‘gher’ on Thursday night but did not return home.”

Locals found him dead at the dawn there and informed the police.

Being informed, police rushed to the spot, recovered the body and sent to Khulna Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

The body bore injury marks of sharp weapons on its different parts. 

Police, however, could not reveal the motives behind the killing.

A case was filed with Fultala thana in this connection, said Ilyas.
