Ports asked to hoist signal no 3

DHAKA: The depression over east-central bay and adjoining area moved southwestwards and weakened into a well marked low over east-central bay and adjoining west-central bay at 12:00 Friday.

Under its influence deep convection is taking place over north bay.

Squally weather may affect the north bay, adjoining coastal areas and the maritime ports.

Maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal number-3 (r) three.

All fishing boats and trawlers over north bay have been advised to remain close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice. They are also advised not to venture into the deep sea.
