LAXMIPUR: Two people were killed and six others injured in a road accident in Sutargopta area of Bhabaniganj union under Sadar Upazila of the district on Friday night.

The deceased were Hossain and Azad.

Local sources said that a Leguna (human hauler) plunged into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control over the steering in the area around 9:45pm, leaving eight people injured.  

Later, the injured were sent to Sadar Hospital where Hossain and Azad succumbed to their injuries under treatment.
