RAJSHAHI: The bus services on Dhaka-Rajshahi route remained stopped from Saturday morning following the dispute of Natore and Chapainawbganj motor workers and bus owners.
Following the matter, no buses left for Dhaka and buses coming from Dhaka remained stranded outside Natore which caused immense sufferings to the passengers.
On the other hand, indefinite strike is scheduled to start in Rajshahi division from Sunday on a six-point demand.
Rajshahi Motor Sromik Union Road Affairs Secretary Alimuddin said that a local businessman named Yahia Choudhury started two bus services naming Asif Parbahan in Natore district and demanded to Sromik leaders to start the service on Chapainawabganj-Dhaka route.
Besides, supporting Yahia Chowdhury some worker union leaders of Natore locked the ticket counters of S Travel, Shamoli, Rajanigandha in Chapainawabganj.
Rajshahi Motor Sromik Union president Kamal Hossain Robi said that they are trying to solve the dispute to return normalcy on Natore and Chapainawabganj route.
It is not a strike, he added.
