CNG station owners threaten of strike

DHAKA: Owners of CNG filling stations Saturday threatened to go on an indefinite strike from June 8 if the government does not meet their 7-point demands including increasing commission by June 7.

Leaders of Bangladesh CNG Filling Station and Conversion Workshop Owners Association issued the threat at a briefing at its office in the capital.

Leaders said that they would go hardline if their demands are not met, as many CNG filling station owners are incurring losses due to a rise in electricity costs.
