BOGRA: Motor Owners Association and Workers Union called indefinite transport strike in north Bengal from Sunday to press home their six-point demands, including ban of CNG-run auto-rickshaw and local human haulers on the highway.
General Secretary of Bogra Motor Owners Association Sagar Kumar Roy confirmed the matter to banglanews.
He also said the owners and workers association jointly took the decision at a meeting held on Saturday.
President of Bogra Transport Workers Union Abdul Latif Mandal also urged the administration to take effective steps within Sunday.
He added: “Otherwise, the strike will continue for indefinite period.”
