DHAKA: At least three people, including two minors, were killed in separate incidents at Kaliakoir, Sreepur and Sadar upazila of the district on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Hridoy, 10, son of Abdul Malek, hailed from Kulban village under Kotwali Thana of Dinajpur; Shariful Islam, 13, son of Abdus Salam, residing in C&B area and an unidentified person.

Locals said Kaliakoir Thana police recovered the body of Hridoy, hanging with the ceiling of their bedroom.

Police said the parents of the deceased were at their workplaces.

The body had been sent to Gazipur Sadar Hospital Morgue for autopsy.

However, a class eight student Shariful Islam was killed in a road accident in the district’s Sreepur upazila.

Sreepur Thana Officer-in-Charge told banglanews that Shariful was killed as his motorbike knocked a tree.

The deceased was a student at Rafiqul Islam Academy at the area.

Earlier, Joydebpur Thana police recovered an unidentified dead body lying on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway over information.

Locals found him dead at Chhaydana area early in the morning.

Police sent his body to the morgue for autopsy.
