DHAKA: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has submitted charge sheet to the court in a case against BNP standing committee member Barrister Moudud Ahmed and his brother Manjur Ahmed on charge of occupying government land abusing power.
Deputy Commissioner of the anti-graft body Harunur Rashid submitted charge sheet to chief metropolitan magistrate court on Monday afternoon.
ACC court branch officer Abdus Salam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
On 17 December last year, ACC filed a case with Gulshan Thana against Barrister Moudud Ahmed and his brother on charge of occupying government land.
Moudud Ahmed occupied illegally an abandoned house of Gulshan Avenue in the name of his expatriate brother Manjur Ahmed.
The original owner of the house was an Australian woman. She left the house during 1971 Liberation War.
