DHAKA: A worker was electrocuted at Monipur of Mirpur area of the capital on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Mominul Haque, 26, a construction worker, son of M Shahjahan, hailed from Jamalpur district.

A coworker Dudu Miah told banglanews that Maminul was injured critically while working at Monipur School and College.

Later, Mominul was rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where on duty doctor declared him dead.

DMCH police camp in-charge Mozammel Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews.
