SATHKHIRA: Local administration imposed Section 144 at the district central bus terminal and its adjacent areas for an indefinite period from Tuesday early.

On behalf of the district additional magistrate, the announcement was made at 12:55am, which came after two groups of Awami League locked into clashes over occupying the terminal on Monday noon.

Sadar Thana Officer-In-Charge Enamul Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews.

During the clashes, police fired several round of bullets to bring the situation under control and detained four people later.
