DHAKA: Sushasoner Jonno Nagorik (Sujan) on Thursday demanded for formation of a local government commission to free the concerned bodies from bureaucratic dominance.

Sujan president Dr Badiul Alam Majumder came up with the demand at a press conference at the Dhaka Reporters' Unity (DRU) in the city.

Badiul also demanded for reformation of the Election Commission (EC) with the inclusion of skilled, capable, impartial and personality holding people.

He urged the EC to keep its backbone strong and to apply its power properly.
