DHAKA: A contractor of Water Development Board was shot dead by a gang of unidentified miscreants in city’s Arambagh area on Thursday noon.
The deceased was identified as Sultan, 42, resident of capital’s Basabo area.
Amir Hossain, driver of the slain contractor, said that miscreants shot Sultan in the area around 11:45 am, leaving him injured critically.
The injured was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where on duty doctor declared him dead.
The high police officials of Motijheel zone visited the crime scene and started an investigation into this regard.
