BARISAL: A police official was killed and 10 other were injured as a bus carrying them plunged into roadside ditch in Uzirpur on Dhaka –Barisal highway Saturday morning.

The identity of the deceased and injured could not be known immediately.

Witnesses said a passenger bus of Eagle Paribahan turned turtle and fell into a ditch in Esladi area at 8:30am, leaving a assistant sub-Inspector of police dead and injured others.  

Of the injured, three were admitted to Barisal Sher-e-bangla Medical College Hospital and seven were given treatment at upazila health complex.
