COX’S BAZAR: Two people were killed and six others injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a human hauler at Chakaria upazila of the district earlySaturday. 

The deceased are M Idris, 25, son of Shah Alam of Harbang Katakhali and Helel Uddin, 20, son of Nur Ahmed of Harbang Pahartoli area under the upazila. 

Harbang police outpost inspector Shahidul Islam said a human hauler locally known as Chander Gari collided head-on with a truck in Harbang Dargaon area, leaving Idris dead on the spot and injured seven others. 

Injured were sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital and Helal succumbed to his injuries on way, he added.
