COX’S BAZAR: An army person was killed and two others were injured in a road accident on Cox’s Bazar-Chittagong highway on Sunday morning.

The deceased was identified as Golzar Hossain, 35, hailed from Fulbari upazila of Mymensingh district.

Local sources said a truck of Corps of Engineers of Bangladesh Army plunged into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control over the steering, leaving three army men injured critically.

Locals rushed them to local Jomjom Hospital where Golzar Hossain succumbed to his injuries.
