DHAKA: Police barred Ganajagaran Mancha activists from besieging the Law Ministry, as part of the previously declared movement, by reportedly attacking on a procession brought out by protesters on Monday.

Police charged baton in the procession at Doyel Chattar of the University of Dhaka area, leaving six protesters injured, sources said.

Amongst them, two were rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Recently, Law minister Anisul Haque said it is not possible to try and punish Jamaat-e-Islami as War criminal organization under existing law.

The remark has sparked row across the country. Protestiong his remark, Ganajagaran Mancha declared law ministry besiege program for Monday.
