DHAKA: ABM Shamim Chowdhury was appointed as the media secretary to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday.
Assistant press secretary to the premier Asif Kabir confirmed the matter to banglanews.
Prior to this appointment, Shamim was the director general (DG) of Department of Films and Publications.
He also served as the DG of Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB), Bangladesh Betar and the DG and chief information officer of Bangladesh Film Archive.
