HABIGANJ: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Wednesday hauled arms again just after resuming drive for the second day in the deep forest of Satchhari National Park in Chunarughat upazila.

RAB-9 Sreemangal Camp Commanding Officer (CO), ASP Sana Shaminur Rahman told banglanews, “We have seized four machine guns and eight rocket launcher shells from there.”

These weapons have been seized just after resuming second day’s operation on 8:30am, he added.

Earlier, on Tuesday, RAB recovered a huge haul of arms and ammunition, including mortal shells and rocket launchers, from there on Tuesday.

Acting on a tip-off, the elite force started carrying out drives in the deep jungle since Sunday and found five bunkers in two hills there. A haul of arms and ammunition was seized from the bunkers, said a RAB officer said.

The haul includes over 100 mortar shells and rocket launchers and 153 chargers of the rocket launchers, he added.
