CHITTAGONG: At least 30 people were injured in a road accident on Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway in Chunti area of Lohagara upazila in the district on Wednesday.

Nurul Islam, in-charge of Chunti Police outpost, said a Chittagong-bound passenger bus of S Alam Paribahan collided head-on with a Cox’s Bazar-bound truck in the morning, leaving at least 30 people hurt.

Of the injured, 10 people were in critical condition.

The injured were rushed to the Chittagong Medical College and Hospital and Padua Private Hospital.
