DHAKA: Popular cultural personality, eminent TV presenter, writer and producer AKM Hanif Sanket got environment medal 2014.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina handed over the medal in a programme at Bangabandhu International Conference Center in city on Thursday morning.

To mark the occasion of World Environment Day and National Tree Plantation Campaign-2014, the Ministry of Environment and Forests organized the programme.

Besides, Jahangirnagar University Environment Science Department Professor Dr Khabir Uddin and Rural Services Foundation (RSF), a solar power supplier organization, also got the medal.

Environment and Forest Minister Anwar Hossain Manju presided over the award giving programme on the occasion of World Environment Day.
