BGB-BGP flag meeting in Myanmar

COX’S BAZAR: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Border Guard Police (BGP) of Myanmar held a flag meeting in Mongdu of Myanmar on Thursday morning following the tension and repeated exchange of fires along border. 

A 23-member BBG delegation led-by BGB Cox’s Bazar sector commander Colonel Khandaker Farid Hasan joined the meeting started at 10:30am and 11:00 Myanmar local time.

The Bangladesh team crossed the border for Mongdu through Teknaf port at 8:00am and will return in afternoon after meeting.

On May 28, a Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) member went missing after a gun-battle near a Rohingya camp along the Myanmar border.

The body BGB’s Nayek Mizanur Rahman was handed over by Myanmar's Border Guard Police (BGP) on May 31 Saturday after a second battle of May 30.
