DHAKA: Former advisor of caretaker government and former editor of 'The Independent', Mahbubul Alam is on life support at a city hospital.

The veteran journalist has been kept on life support since Thursday morning due to multiple organs failure, while he was admitted to the BIRDEM Hospital on Tuesday, his family sources said to banglanews.

He family members sought doa from all for his early recovery.

Former advisor Mahububl Alam was born in Munshiganj on February 5 in 1936. He started his career as a journalist in 1953. He was also the Managing Director & chief editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS).
