LAKSHMIPUR: Law enforcers have recovered two bodies from different areas of the sadar upazila on Friday morning.

The deceased were identified as Selina Akhter, 19 and Maksudur Rahman, 25, son of a Nur Mohammad hailed from Laharkandi and Bhabaniganj areas of the upazila.

Local people said Selina Akhter, daughter of one M Siraj, resident of Jadia village married a Raju around eight months ago and were living in Laharkandi.

Victim’s mother Marzahan Begum alleged that Raju strangled her daughter.

Police nabbed Zahangir Alam Raju.

Meanwhile, police recovered hanging body of Maksudur Rahman from his father-in-law’s house at Bhangakha union.

Maksudur’s father alleged that in-laws killed him and hanged his body.

Officer-in-Charge of Lakshmipur Sadar Thana M Iqbal Hossain told banglanews that they had recovered the bodies and sent it to hospital morgue.

Actions will be taken based on reports, he added.
