Minor killed, 40 hurt in Ctg road crash

CHITTAGONG: A 13-year old boy was killed and at least 40 other people were injured in a road accident in Chunti Forest Gate area of Lohagara upazila in the district on Friday morning.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.

Naik Pakaj Barua of Chittagong Medical College Hospital police outpost confirmed the matter.

Sub-Inspector of Chunti Police Outpost Nurul Islam said, head-on clash between two buses in the area around 11:30am left at least 40 people injured.

The injured were rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital, Lohagara Upazila Health Complex and various other local hospitals, he added.

On Tuesday (June 3) and Wednesday (June 4), 10 people were injured in a collision between two minibuses and 30 people were hurt in bus-truck collision in the same area.
