NATORE: Two minor boys drowned in Nandakiza river of Kayemkola village in Baraigram upazila of the district in Friday noon.

The victims were Roni, 7, son of Rabiul Karim Robi and class-II student of Ahmedpur Sapper Land School, and his cousin Hridoy, 13, son of Shahin and class IV student of Ahmedpur Government Primary School.

Locals said that Roni and Hridoy drowned when bathing in the river. As seeing the body of Roni floating in the river at noon they recovered it and took in a local clinic where the attending doctors declared him dead.

After a fanatic search they recovered Hridoy’s body under the water.
