FROM OSMANI AUDITORIUM: Many people are alleging after the placement of budget for the fiscal year 2014-15 that people are laundering their money due to the lack of investment friendly environment in the country.

But I want to say you all that this information is not true at all.

Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal categorically made the assertions while addressing a post-budget press conference at Osmani Auditorium in city on Friday afternoon.

Minister said, “I do not have any information that people are siphoning off their money due to the reduction in private investment.”

“Concerning departments will take necessary actions if such thing happens,” he added.

AHM Mustafa Kamal also said that the prevailing economical depression around the globe in last year did not touch Bangladesh. Besides, 96 percent of Annual Development Programme (ADP) of the country was implemented in the last year and it will be 98 percent in next fiscal year.”

Ministers, secretaries and high officials of the government attended the press conference.
