BENAPOLE, JESSORE: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel detained 17 Bangladeshi citizens including three middle men at Raghunathpur village in Benapole of the district on Saturday morning.

The detainees are- Rubel, 18, Jakir, 45, Arafat Ali, 30, Biplab Hossain, 18, Tarikul Islam, 19, Rassel, 18, Salam, 19, Iqbal, 16, Imamul, 35, Sadin, 16, Faruk Hossain, 10, Nur Nabi, 16, Shahin, 19, Jahangir Hossain, 16, Imran, 17, Suman, 18 and Masud, 8.

All the detainees are hailed from Sharsha upazila, Benapole, Chaugachha and Monirampur Thana of Jessore. 

Confirming the matter, Benapole Port Thana Sub-Inspector Ashraf Hossain told banglanews, “Crossing border illegally, the detainees entered into Bangladesh. Then, BGB detained them from the area.”
