COMILLA: Three people were killed and two others injured in a road crash on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Jhagurjuli area under Sadar upazila of the district on Sunday morning.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Locals said that a Chittagong-bound covered van collided head-on with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in the area around 7:30am, leaving the three dead and injured two others.

Mainamati Highway Police Outpost Officer-in-Charge Mashiur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
