DHAKA: A Dhaka court placed two people on four-day remand in a gold smuggling case on Tuesday.

Metropolitan Magistrate Mizanur Rahman granted the remand rejecting bail petitions after police produced then before the court seeking 10 days in remand.

Earlier, Dhaka Metropolitan Police held two smugglers, identified as Shamsuddin, 50 and Kamrul, 48, with 80 pieces of gold bars weighing nine kilograms in the city’s Paltan area during overnight drives.
