RANGPUR: At least three people killed and five others hurt in a road accident on Dhaka-Rangpur Highway early Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Abul Hossain, 28, Sekandar, 25 and Ismail, 35.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, sergeant of Peerganj Highway poilice Abdul Gani said, “Bus driver Abul Hossain and helper Sekandar was repairing their bus and one of the passengers Ismail was standing beside them. 

At that time, a rashly driven truck knocked the truck from behind, leaving them dead on the spot.”

The injured were rushed to local hospitals.
