MOULVIBAZAR: Two were killed as lightning struck them at Sagornal union under Juri upazila of the district on Tuesday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Kulash Tanti, 35 and Ratan Roy, 18, residents of the area.

Locals said thunderbolt struck them while they were working at the hillside around 6:00pm, leaving them dead on the spot.

Police sources said that an unnatural death case was filed in this connection.

Assistant Sub-Inspector of Juri Thana Nurul Haque Hawlader confirmed the matter to banglanews.
