DHAKA: A man was killed as a train hit him on the rail track in city's Khilkhet Khanpara area on Friday noon.

The deceased was identified as Chandan, 35, a carpenter, son of Hafiz Uddin. 

Family sources said that the victim was going to his work station and train hit him while trying to cross the rail line in the area around 10:30am, leaving him critically injured.

Later, he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where he succumbed to his injuries around 12:00pm.

DMCH Medical Camp Police In-charge Mozammel Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews.
