DHAKA: President of the Asian Development Bank Takehiko Nakao will arrive in Dhaka on Saturday night.
This will be his first visit to Bangladesh after taking office in 2013.
The ADB president is scheduled to hold separate meetings with Finance Minister AMA Muhith on Sunday morning and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the evening.
ADB has funded in agriculture, education, power, transport, ICT and water supply sectors of the country. He will visit several project funded by the organisation.
Confirming the matter, Senior External Relations Officer of ADB’s Bangladesh Resident Mission Gobinda Bar said, Nakao will reach at Shahjalal International Airport at 10:30 pm.
He will leave Dhaka on June 17 for Sri Lanka.
