NAOGAON: Three minors including two sisters drowned in a lake in Sapahar upazila of the district on Friday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as two sisters Supria, 10 and Najifa, 6, daughters of one Shah Jamal and Sanjida, 7, daughter of a Sultana, residents of the area.

Locals said that the minors drowned while they were taking bath in the lake at Kolmadanga village of the upazila around 5:00pm.

Later, locals recovered their floating bodies from the lake.

Rafiqul Islam, Chairman of Patari Union Parishad, confirmed the matter to banglanews.
