JESSORE: An activist of Juba Dal, the youth wing of BNP, was shot to death by some unidentified assailants in Sheikhhati Mollapara area of the district town on Sunday night.

The deceased was identified as Maruf Hossain, 27, Juba Dal activist and son of Aiyub Hossain.

Witnesses said that riding motorbike two miscreants opened fire aiming him and hurled bombs around 10:30pm, leaving him critically injured.

Later, he was rushed to Jessore Medical College Hospital where doctor declared him dead.

Jessore Kotwali Model Thana Sub-Inspector Saiful Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
