4.2-Kg gold seized at Shahjalal

DHAKA: Airport customs authority seized 35 pieces gold bars weighing 4.2 kilogram at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Monday. 

Confirming the matter, Airport Customs Office Assistant Commissioner Kamrul Islam told banglanews, “Acting on a tip off, law enforcers seized the gold bars from an aircraft from Dubai around 9:15am.

The seized gold is worth about Tk2 crores, he added.
