PARBATIPUR, DINAJPUR: Three people were killed in a road accident in Ramdubi area under Sadar Upazila of the district on Monday.

The deceased were identified as Rezaul Karim, 42, Moktar Hossain, 60 and his wife Jahanara Begum, 50. 

Family sources said that a passenger bus of Hanif Enterprise hit the bike carrying the victims from behind, leaving one dead on the spot and critically injured two others.

Later, the two injured died on the way of Dinajpur Medical College.

Meanwhile, agitated locals blocked Dinajpur-Rangpur highway. 

Later, police rushed to the spot and brought the situations under control after two hours.
