DHAKA: A prescheduled meeting between visiting Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen and State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam has been cancelled as Hun fell sick on Tuesday.

The minister, meanwhile, visited the ailing Hun at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka Hotel in the city.

After the visit, the Minster told the journalists, “Hun has been feeling illness since the Monday nigh though he is not in a serious condition.”

“Due to illness, Hun’s meetings with me and the commerce minister have been canceled, and his other scheduled will remain unchanged,” added Shahriar.

Hun will attend a meeting with his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina in the afternoon.
