NEW YORK: President Abdul Hamid will visit United Nations (UN) Headquarters and call on UN secretary general Ban-ki Moon at New York on Thursday.
Bangladesh permanent representative to the UN ambassador Dr AK Abdul Momen confirmed the matter to banglanews.
Earlier the President, who is now staying abroad for a 10-day official visit to Bolivia and the USA, reached New York at BDST 11:00pm after attending the "Commemorative Summit of G77 and China" at Bolivia.
Ambassador Momen received President Hamid at John F. Kennedy International Airport there. The president checked into Grand Hyatt New York hotel in Manhattan of New York City.
During his stay at USA, He will join in two reception ceremony organized by Kishoreganj Zila Samaiti and USA Awami League there.
